1.) What types of loose leaf teas do you prefer, if any? Is it because of taste or because of medical reasons?
I drink Lapsang Souchong when I am ill otherwise I prefer Jasmine Downy Pearls or English Breakfast.

2.) If you sweeten your tea, how do you go about doing so? Depends on my mood, sometimes I use honey (1 tsp) or splenda and sugar with milk or without milk. If I'm drinking something citrusy, I don't use sweetener.

Oh yeah, check out www.blackbeartea.com
Good stuff and the owner is nice.

I know, I should probably slap my wrist for not posting often enough in a community I created. Nonetheless, I'd like to welcome our small, but humble memberlist: tsukikage_85, flametodance, indyamy and frawed, who oddly enough lives about thirty minutes away from me. With that said, I have a few random questions to hopefully start a conversation:

1.) What types of loose leaf teas do you prefer, if any? Is it because of taste or because of medical reasons?
2.) If you sweeten your tea, how do you go about doing so?

Also, if anyone has any questions, don't be shy. I'm almost certain that no one here bites and if they do, hopefully it isn't too hard.

I noticed that coffee am doesn't list any oolongs. Have you checked out peets.com? Also teavana.com has some good prices.
In the cupboard right now I have Jasmine Downy Pearls, Lapsang Souchong, Peppermint, and an Indian Spice Tea that a friend made for me.

Well, my new order of tea leaves has arrived:

-: Japan Sencha Green Tea (2:lb)
-: China Black Flowery Orange Pekoe (2:lb)
-: Chinese Hyson Green Tea (2:lb)
-: White Tea (1/4:lb)
-: China Black Tea (2:lb)
-: Formosa Green Dragon Oolong (2:lb)

I generally drink green tea and oolong tea, though recently I decided to try white tea. To my dismay, I didn't really enjoy the flavor as much as expected. It has a very distinct and strong taste.
